What should I do if a result appears incorrect?

Contact support through the contact page, and include the property address and what looks wrong. A human reads every message, and an incorrect-looking result gets two questions asked in order: did we present the City's record incorrectly, or does the City's record itself not match reality?

If the issue is on our side, the fix is on us, in writing: if our software incorrectly presents a supported public record because of our error, we will re-run the check, correct the report, and refund your latest payment. These guarantees are refund promises about our own detection and reminders. They do not promise legal compliance, City approval, a successful license renewal, or the accuracy of the City's underlying records.

If the underlying City record is wrong or delayed, we cannot change it ourselves; no private service can. What we can do is show you exactly which source the result came from, when it was last checked, and where the official correction path lives, so you are contacting the right City office with the right record in hand rather than guessing.

Timing explains many apparent errors. The City's databases update on the City's schedule, so a renewal that just posted or a violation that was just cleared can lag in the source data by a business day or more. Every result carries its last-checked timestamp for exactly this reason; if the timestamp predates your change, a re-run usually resolves the discrepancy.
