How often are City records checked?

We schedule one re-check of the City's public records each day. City-site availability and publication delays can still affect freshness.

A scheduled re-check queues supported sources for a fresh read. A change alert requires a successful response and a supported comparison against the previous successful result. The dashboard shows each source's actual latest successful timing and any gap rather than making a universal real-time claim.

The honest caveat is in the second sentence of the cadence promise: the City's own publication schedule sits between reality and any tool reading public data. The City's lookup systems are administrative databases updated on the City's schedule, and a change such as a renewal that just posted or a violation that was just cleared can take a business day or more to appear in the source data itself. Our re-check reads what the City has published, so freshness has two parts: how often we check (daily, scheduled) and when the City publishes (outside anyone's control but the City's).

That is also why every result we show carries a full last-checked timestamp instead of implying real-time status. If a result matters for a decision you are making right now, the timestamp tells you exactly how current the underlying read is.
