What this lookup checks

The free check reads the City's rental-license, L&I violation, unsafe-designation, property and lead-certification records. Here is what the free result shows:

  • Matched property: the address, selected unit or building scope, and check time.

  • Rental license: its state and recorded expiration date, when available.

  • City records: open violation counts and dates, and unsafe or imminently dangerous designations. This service reads no property-tax balance and assumes none: the City's data has area totals only, never per parcel. A property's balance is free on the Philadelphia Tax Center, no account needed.

  • Lead certificate: the status and expiration date in the City's lead dataset, if it lists one. The dataset can't show whether the certificate covers every unit.
